Volunteers
Hi All,
Thanks for volunteering for our food distribution event. This is a new event for us, but we are teaming with a highly experienced non-profit, Hunger at Home, so we’re all hoping for a successful, smooth-running event that we can consider doing again next year.
Here are some important details we wanted every volunteer to know:
- For those that signed up on Facebook. we changed the start time to 8am. We will be there by 7:30 but decided it would be best for us to get things in order so we can provide immediate direction to volunteers, rather than having anyone waiting.
- There is a good chance of rain. We will have disposable ponchos available, but please wear your best rain gear to stay dry.
- Masks are required at all times, both outside and indoors (we will have access to the church hall)
- There will be coffee in the church hall (and hopefully pastries) for all volunteers
- Please park in the rear church parking lot, not in the north lot (where we are setting up the distribution). See map on this page for directions.
- Also please do not park on Booksin Ave, especially northbound as we may need the road shoulder to keep the main street clear.
- Bathrooms are in the church hall, turn right at the foyer.
